At the heart of the Chef’s Long Table Charity Lunch is an extraordinary team of chefs who generously donate their time, talent and passion to make the event possible.

Each year, a team of the South West’s oustanding chefs come together to design and prepare an exceptional multi-course menu showcasing the finest produce of the South West. Working collaboratively, they transform locally grown ingredients into a memorable eight-course banquet enjoyed by hundreds of our guests while overlooking Bunbury’s spectacular inlet.

Few people have been a part of the the success of the Chef’s Long Table Charity Lunch than Western Australia’s Food Ambassador, Don Hancey.

Don has been involved with the event since its very beginning in 2004, when founder Leonie Kershaw first approached him to help bring the idea to life. Recognising the potential of an event that would celebrate local food while raising funds for community charities, Don immediately offered his support and helped establish the inaugural lunches alongside Leonie and chef Tania Kershaw.

Those early events laid the foundation for what would become one of South West’s most successful premiere fundraising event.
